Security measures ease tensions in Sqliba
Security tension erupted in the city of Sqlabiya in Hama Governorate, central Syria, following a fight between young men from the city and others from Qalaat al-Madiq. The altercations, which began with a verbal dispute and escalated into an attack by armed individuals from both sides aimed at instilling fear, resulted in superficial injuries to a woman and a wave of unrest in the area. Security forces intervened to stop the escalation, arresting the suspects, and conducted security operations in both towns. Efforts are underway by residents and authorities to contain the situation, with calls for adherence to the law and caution regarding the dangers of arms proliferation and incitement via social media platforms.
