Security tensions rise in western Libya
Security events are concentrated in western Libya, where security forces were targeted by RPG rockets in Abu Sleme, Tripoli. Clashes have resumed in Zawiya, and investigations continue into a cell suspected of carrying out attacks on oil and electricity facilities. These events highlight the fragility of security arrangements, despite recent measures taken by Authorities. Tensions are escalating due to the spread of armed influence and resource conflicts, especially following attacks on key oil facilities and the involvement of armed factions behind many assaults. This situation threatens the country’s stability and the ongoing protection of vital infrastructure.
