Abdi Discusses Kurds' Return to Aleppo
Syrian Aleppo Governorate, Ziad Ghareeb, discussed with Mustafa Abdi, an adviser to the Presidency, the mechanism for completing the integration of military, civilian, and service institutions following the dissolution of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in August 2023. They examined steps to facilitate the return of displaced persons, especially Kurds, to their areas, and to finalize humanitarian and administrative files, with the goal of fully integrating the institutions affiliated with the state. This comes after the signing of an agreement in March 2025 to merge institutions in northeastern Syria, coinciding with government efforts to strengthen security and services in the reclaimed areas.
