Trump Criticizes Nobel Peace Prize and Norway

Although former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2026, former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his strong disappointment at not receiving the prize this year. Trump claimed that the failure to grant him the award indicates a conspiracy by Norway and other parties to exploit his country, accusing them of using "radical ideologies" against America. He described the decision as a "stain on humanity" and "embarrassing." Despite his strong desire to receive the prize after returning to the White House, his hardline stances towards Iran and migrants, as well as his attacks on the media, disqualified him from the list of nominees. The award includes a gold medal, a certificate, and a $1.2 million prize, symbolizing international recognition for peace efforts. However, Trump criticized the Nobel Committee's decision, considering it to have lost its credibility.
