German raids seize Nazi music files

German police confiscated approximately 33,000 pieces of audio media such as CDs, tapes, and cassettes, as well as 130 electronic storage devices and over two million euros in cash, during a wide-scale security operation targeting neo-Nazi music networks. The operation resulted in the arrest of four suspects aged between 43 and 55, on charges of forming a far-right criminal organization promoting Nazi, anti-Semitic, and racist ideologies through the production and sale of CDs and vinyl records containing such music. The campaign also involved searches at locations across several European countries. Investigations revealed music production projects outside Germany—often produced in Estonia, Italy, Poland, and the Czech Republic—where companies were unaware of the music’s content. No arrests were made during the raids. Over 390 law enforcement officers from Germany and other European nations participated in the operations, which aimed to gather evidence against the network.
