Egypt reaffirms support for Trump's Gaza plan after a year
Egypt has continued to support Trump's plan for the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the importance of implementing it to achieve stability and establish peace in the region. It pointed out that the summit hosted by Sharm El Sheikh a year ago, under the auspices and participation of President Sisi and Trump, was a significant milestone in ending the war in Gaza and enhancing security. Trump's plan includes a ceasefire, the flow of humanitarian aid, the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the initiation of recovery and reconstruction efforts. Egypt also stressed the necessity of seizing this opportunity to launch a serious political process that achieves a two-state solution and establishes an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, ensuring the Palestinians' right to self-determination and securing peace and stability for all.
