Netflix secures 2030 World Cup rights in Spain
Netflix has secured the broadcasting rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup matches in Spain, under an agreement that allows them to stream all 104 live matches featuring 48 participating teams hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. The deal includes free broadcasts as part of public broadcasting, with the monetary value of the agreement not disclosed. Previously, the broadcasting rights for the 2026 World Cup were held by the Spanish broadcasting authority for 55 million euros. The 2030 finals are expected to take place in Spain and Morocco, with the final potentially being held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium or at the King Hassan II Stadium. This marks the first men's tournament to be streamed via Netflix, following their previous agreements to broadcast the Women's World Cup in 2027 and 2031.
