Lebanon captures new explosives shipment
The Lebanese army managed to seize approximately 200 kilograms of explosives, specifically of the +C-4+ type, which were being smuggled from Syria into Lebanon through an illegal crossing in the al-Qasr area in Hermel. The smugglers fled to Syria following the seizure, after previous thwarted smuggling attempts involving TNT explosives. Several individuals affiliated with Hezbollah were arrested in connection with those operations. The Lebanese government emphasizes its commitment to investigating and pursuing those involved. This comes amid increased efforts to control illegal arms and implement a plan to disarm the party.
