U.S. President Donald Trump called for a change in leadership in Ukraine, considering that the current president, Volodymyr Zelensky, does not seem interested in ending the Russia-Ukraine war effectively. He suggested that the conflict could have been ended sooner if there had been new leadership, and emphasized that Ukraine has lost 30% of its territory and over a million people have died since the start of the conflict. Trump also criticized the U.S. administration's decision to lift the ban on Russian diesel imports, viewing it as causing global problems. Trump received support from a Russian negotiator, who affirmed that Trump's call for new leadership in Ukraine represents an important step toward peace. Meanwhile, Russian forces continue targeting regions in Ukraine, with Russian strikes intensifying on Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia, amid international efforts to make progress toward ending the war, which has been ongoing for more than four and a half years.
