Coalition intercepts missile and drone toward Al-Kharj
The coalition forces intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile and a drone launched towards the provinces of Al-Kharj and the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, as part of their defense against Houthi attacks backed by Iran. Additionally, Houthi militias targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, resulting in 12 deaths and injuring 309 others. The coalition described this attack as a war crime under international law. Saudi Arabia affirmed that it will respond decisively to these assaults and urged affected citizens to contact the Kingdom's embassies for assistance. International condemnations have also been renewed, considering the targeting of civilian facilities a violation of law that threatens regional security and aviation safety.
