Israeli Army Eliminates Islamic Jihad Commander
The Israeli forces announced the launch of a series of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip in cooperation with the Shin Bet, targeting military leaders from Hamas and Islamic Jihad, allegedly to counter hostile plans and to rebuild military capabilities. The strikes resulted in the deaths of several leaders, including Muath Hassouna, Muhammad Riyad Arhem, and Muhammad Waleed Al-Nakhla, in addition to targeting figures in Khan Yunis. These operations have violated the ceasefire in place since October 2025, leading to the martyrdom of over 1,471 Palestinians and injuries to 5,189, while approximately 90% of Gaza's infrastructure has been destroyed.
