Saudi Arabia suspends Riyadh airport flights
The Civil Aviation Authority in Saudi Arabia announced the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh following attacks on the airport that resulted in injuries. Damage assessments are being conducted in coordination with the relevant authorities. The Yemeni Houthi group, backed by Iran, claimed responsibility for the ongoing attacks on Saudi targets, including the airport, amid escalating security tensions in the region. The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh advised its citizens to avoid the airport and the surrounding areas, warning against travel within 20 miles of the Yemeni border due to ongoing security risks.
