Lebanon Hezbollah members seized with explosives
Two Hezbollah members were detained in Lebanon after half a ton of explosives were found inside their vehicle at a checkpoint in the Dahr al-Baidar area in Bekaa. The investigations being conducted by the Lebanese Military Police suggest the possibility of a large assassination plot, raising questions about the purpose of transporting the explosives and the target they were heading to. So far, there has been no official confirmation regarding the nature of the plan or the involved party, and the security situation in the area remains tense amid anticipation of the investigation results and the potential for military escalation ahead of the upcoming elections scheduled for the 27th of this month.
