Saudi Federation clarifies Green coach's future
The Saudi Football Federation confirmed that the coach of the Saudi national team, Georgios Donis, remains in his position and there is no decision to replace him, despite media reports suggesting he might leave. The federation stated that their announcement aims to put an end to rumors, while Prince Abdulrahman bin Mowas said it’s not logical to change the coach at this time, especially after the team’s victory in the Gulf Cup and its good performance. With the Asia Cup approaching, it is expected that the coach will stay even after that tournament. The Saudi national team won the Gulf Cup by defeating the UAE 2-0 and is currently preparing for the Asia Cup, which is considered the toughest, with a new generation of players.
