Sisi orders Egyptian army to boost readiness
The Egyptian government announced the launch of "Fajr Yemen" operation to restore state institutions and liberate Sanaa, as part of its efforts to confront the Houthis. This announcement coincides with Egypt’s celebrations of October 1973 victories. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized the need to maintain the highest combat readiness and to be prepared to face regional challenges, including tensions with Yemen, Libya, and Sudan, with a focus on safeguarding national security and internal stability. This comes amid increasing military escalation in Yemen, where the Houthis claim to be repelling intensive Saudi attacks, regaining positions in Taiz, and issuing threats against Saudi targets. Meanwhile, Egypt continues to support its military efforts to address regional challenges, as the area faces multiple security and political crises.
