Zelensky targets refineries and threatens missile strikes on Moscow
Ukraine has confirmed that it will intensify its attacks on Russian oil refineries in response to Moscow's new policy of conducting airstrikes aimed at exerting pressure on civilians in Ukrainian cities, although it will not target civilian infrastructure randomly. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian intelligence has obtained documents proving that Putin has issued a new policy targeting civilian infrastructure, including roads, schools, and hospitals, with the goal of prompting residents to leave the cities. He explained that this is a response to Moscow's attempts to pressure the Ukrainian people, confirming that Ukrainian forces have retaken approximately 140 square kilometers of the Donbas region. There are no indications that Russia is willing to engage in peace talks. Ukraine also revealed that it has used its first domestically-made ballistic missile with a range of 250 kilometers and is working on developing a longer-range missile capable of reaching Moscow, as part of its efforts to strengthen its defensive capabilities.
