Muaz Al-Khawaldeh elected Jordanian Party Secretary
The Jordanian Nation Party elected Muad Al-Khawalda as its new Secretary-General after he defeated his contender, Deputy Ahmad Al-Qatouna, who withdrew before the run-off. Al-Khawalda emphasized the importance of unifying the party's ranks and strengthening partnerships with national forces, with a focus on internal development, supporting the Palestinian cause, and confronting schemes aimed at undermining the issue and the concept of a "replaced homeland." These elections are particularly significant following the party's name change from the "Islamic Action Front" and the decision to ban the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, marking the first such election after legal and political changes in its management.
