EU comments on PA US entry ban
The article focused on the United States' refusal to grant entry visas to Palestinian officials, including President Mahmoud Abbas, to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York for the second consecutive year. The European Union expressed regret over this decision and called on Washington to reconsider its stance, citing its obligations as the host country. The Palestinian Authority officially commented on the U.S. decision, deeming it an unjustified measure that threatens peace efforts and bilateral relations. Meanwhile, Washington stated that the sanctions aim to pressure for reforms and to reduce activities that hinder the peace process, noting that Abbas was affected by the decision.
