Mujahedin Union of Pakistan After Mosque Attack
A deadly attack took place in Kohat, a city in northwestern Pakistan, targeting a police complex. The assault resulted in at least 21 deaths and 103 injuries, including 16 police officers. The militants carried out a suicide bombing by detonating an explosive device inside the complex, in addition to firing weapons. The attackers remain barricaded in the "Special Branch" section, exchanging gunfire with security forces. The "Mohajir Union Pakistan" declared responsibility for the attack, while the Pakistani Taliban distanced itself from any solidarity with the assault. This attack occurs amid a surge in violence against security forces in the country, with Pakistan recording over 3,000 terrorist incidents in the past year that have claimed more than 800 lives.
