Russian Embassy in Paris warns of Ukraine conflict risking direct Russia-NATO clash
The Russian embassy in Paris warned that Western continued involvement in the Ukrainian conflict could lead to a direct confrontation between Russia and NATO, with potentially catastrophic consequences for alliance members. It emphasized that increasing Western engagement signals an escalation and that joint military projects with Western countries within Ukraine are legitimate targets for Russian attacks. Additionally, it stated that Western arms supplies hinder peace efforts and contribute to military escalation, amidst French and European commitments to bolster support for Ukraine. Russia, however, considers this to exacerbate the conflict and threaten regional security.
