Syrian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ibrahim Al-Labbad, stated that Damascus is seeking to reach a security agreement with Israel under American sponsorship, without relinquishing the rights of the Syrian people or accepting occupation. He explained that Syria prefers diplomatic solutions despite ongoing Israeli attacks, including infiltrations and shelling inside Syrian territory, which it considers a threat to regional security. He also confirmed that his country is striving for a new phase of stability and development, aiming to leverage this period to achieve peace, despite the presence of Israeli forces and continued assaults on Syrian sites. He pointed out that Israel had entered Syrian territory unlawfully two weeks ago, while Syria enjoys the support of 44 countries in rejecting Israeli moves outside the Security Council. He called for regional stability and development, away from wars and assaults.
