Blocking in-app ads on Samsung One UI 9
Samsung's One UI 9 interface introduces a hidden feature called AI Network Guard that allows users to block applications and games from accessing the internet entirely. This helps reduce or hide in-app advertisements that appear when offline. The feature works by cutting off connection to ad servers, preventing new ads from loading and stopping existing ones from displaying—especially in offline apps and games or those that don't require an internet connection for their core functions. It can be activated by enabling Connectivity Labs settings and selecting the apps to restrict using a PIN code. Additional options include scheduling connection cuts and minimizing disruptions, which enhance privacy and reduce annoying notifications. However, it’s not a traditional ad blocker; it only disconnects the app from the internet and does not target ads directly. Users should ensure that the app doesn't need internet access for its essential functions before activating this feature.
