Egyptian Football Association President Hani Abu Rida met Mohamed Salah for dinner in Turkey after Trabzonspor’s 2–0 win over Gaziantep. They discussed the national team, and Abu Rida stressed that fans value Salah and remain committed to him as captain. Broadcaster Ahmed Shobeir raised questions about whether Salah might feel underappreciated and discussed his preference not to be substituted early. However, Salah has neither voiced an objection nor confirmed that he feels this way. Shobeir said he hoped Salah would take part in the national team camp, which begins on November 9 ahead of two matches against Malawi in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Abu Rida’s visit to Turkey also included discussions on strengthening football cooperation between the two countries.
