Serena Williams becomes Barbie ambassador
Serena Williams has joined the list of female athletes who have received Barbie dolls inspired by their careers and accomplishments, with the aim of inspiring girls and encouraging them to believe in their abilities. She explained that the doll carries a message beyond mere recognition, allowing young girls to see a world of possibilities. She was preceded by her sister Venus Williams, whose doll appeared at Wimbledon in 2007, as part of Mattel's initiatives that feature athletes from various fields such as fencing, gymnastics, swimming, football, and the Olympics. The initiative aims to honor inspiring women and motivate girls to express their talents and develop their sports and personal journeys.
