Saktoui: We Shouldn't Have Lost
The coach of the Oman national team, Tarek Saktawi, expressed his sadness after losing 1-0 to the UAE in the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup 27, despite his team's good performance and improvement in the second half. He confirmed that mistakes in dead-ball situations and mental focus were among the main challenges they faced, and that participating was successful, as they gained important lessons. He also pointed out the need for gradual integration of players, especially as some are getting older, and emphasized that the national team’s door is open to all players committed to the team's system.
