Florentino Pérez Visits Ceuta After Shirt Controversy
Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid, visited the Spanish city of Ceuta amid political and media tensions following disagreements over supporter shirts bearing messages of support for the city's residents, some of which were worn discreetly before the team's last match against Elche. Pérez arrived in Ceuta from Gibraltar by helicopter and was greeted by approximately 100 people, including critics of the club, the mayor, and the head of Ceuta's local club. Pérez confirmed that his visit was intended to support the club's honorary president, José Martínez "Perry," who hails from the city. He expressed hope that Ceuta would return to normalcy quickly, emphasizing that the visit had been planned weeks in advance and was not a response to recent developments.
