Guardiola responds to Manchester City verdict
Former Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, expressed his full support for the club following its conviction by the English Premier League for serious financial violations spanning nine seasons from 2009 to 2018. Guardiola stated that he takes pride in the team and sent a message to the fans saying that he will always stand behind the club, its owner, its chairman, and the technical staff, emphasizing that the club will overcome this crisis together. The league had confirmed that the club made fictitious contracts with commercial partners to inflate revenues and hide the true financial situation, ignoring investigations, which led to widespread criticism.
