Westborough residents oppose Amazon drones
Residents of Westborough are opposing Amazon’s plan to establish a drone delivery launch pad near their homes, fearing increased noise, safety risks, and environmental impact. Amazon aims to launch drones regularly from this site to serve over 500 communities nationwide, but local residents have filed appeals challenging the project's zoning classification. Congressional leaders have called for a regional study of the drone operations’ effects, and community opposition remains strong.
