Wild donkeys occupy California UC campus
Wild donkeys, weighing around 500 pounds, have been roaming UC Riverside's campus and nearby hills, with sightings increasing since 2021. These animals pose risks due to their powerful hooves and unpredictable behavior, having caused traffic accidents in the past. University officials advise against feeding or approaching them and urge drivers to slow down in areas where the burros are seen.
