Zamalek's response to FA deadline
The article focused on Zamalek Club's escalation against the Egyptian Football Association regarding the events of the recent Cairo derby match with Al-Ahly. The club objected to the lack of recordings from the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) room, citing a decision that prohibits clubs from listening to the conversations, without receiving any official notice or announcement from the federation. Zamalek also demanded a clear response concerning the refereeing mistakes made during the game, particularly the failure to award two penalties in favor of player Chiko Banza. They referenced statements by the head of the referees committee, who confirmed that some of these errors would have been awarded if managed by an Egyptian referee. Additionally, the club called for the establishment of a transparent mechanism for selecting and assessing foreign referees to ensure justice and equal officiating throughout the Egyptian Premier League.
