Libyan Leaders' Meeting Postponed

The second meeting of the "High Authority of Presidencies" in Libya has been postponed. It was scheduled to take place in Tripoli but was delayed due to prior official commitments of one of the members. Ongoing efforts are underway to ensure broad participation within a coordinated framework aimed at unifying national decision-making and enhancing coordination among the main institutions. This meeting faces legal challenges and disagreements regarding its legitimacy and authority, particularly after some parties objected to its representation and legal basis. Additionally, there are demands to complete procedural arrangements in the Eastern region. The biggest challenge remains determining a new date and securing the parties' agreement on their representation within the authority to ensure its success in addressing the country’s political, economic, and security challenges.
