Iraola critiques Brentford loss and Liverpool injuries
Liverpool's coach, Jürgen Klopp, spoke about his team's 2-1 victory over Brentford in the seventh round of the Premier League, after overturning a goal deficit to secure an away win. Klopp expressed his dissatisfaction with his players' management of the final moments, noting that the team tried to protect the lead rather than closing out the match calmly. The game saw Yhormel Yarmoluk being sent off after colliding with Jeremy Gakpo, which changed the course of the match, in addition to two significant injuries within Liverpool's squad—Jeremy Frambon suffering a muscle problem, and Dominik Szoboszlai not yet fully recovered. The coach emphasized the need for his players to recover quickly in preparation for the upcoming match against Villarreal, amid concerns about physical fatigue due to the busy schedule of matches.
