Houthi missile strikes endanger Yemen's air routes

The Houthis attacked Aden International Airport again within a week, using two ballistic missiles, posing a threat to the safety of civilian flights and endangering the lives of travelers and staff. The attacks targeted the airport surroundings and coincided with the departure of commercial flights between Yemen and Egypt. The assault caused aircraft evacuations and flight disruptions, jeopardizing travel movement and increasing citizens' difficulties in accessing medical services, employment, and transportation. Warnings were issued that continued attacks could negatively impact the national economy and maritime security. The Ministries of Transport and local officials visited the airport and directed efforts to facilitate passengers, reaffirming the city's ability to restore stability. Meanwhile, maintaining the safety of civilian infrastructure remains a top international priority.
