Al Iraqi Offers to Help End Saudi-Yemen Conflict
The article discusses Iran's efforts to resolve the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis in Yemen. Iranian Foreign Minister Abresham Ghassemi emphasized Tehran's readiness to assist in halting the escalation and to promote diplomatic dialogue between the parties, pointing out that 12 years of tension have proven that military solutions are ineffective. However, Saudi Arabia rejected the Iranian approach, considering the escalation by the Houthis as direct support from Iran and stressing that official channels with the Houthis are through Oman, asserting that it does not need Iranian mediation. This comes amid increasing international pressures and diplomatic efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis, with Iran reaffirming its support for dialogue and peaceful settlement between Riyadh and the Houthis.
