Morocco: Ministers Keep Ports and Women’s Role Increased

King Mohammed VI presided over the appointment ceremony for the new government in Rabat, which consists of 32 ministers. The goal is to accelerate reforms and improve public service performance in Morocco. The lineup includes both new ministers and those who have continued in their positions, with a notable presence of women, as the first woman is taking on the role of head of government (Fatiha Zahr Al-Mansouri). The cabinet features seven women holding various ministerial positions. Among the ministers whose trust the king has renewed is Fawzi Lakja, who remains Minister of Economy and Finance, ensuring continuity in managing financial affairs, achieving fiscal balance, and developing economic policies to address the challenges of financing, investment, and sustainable development.
