Saudi Embassies Transport Stranded Individuals

The Saudi embassies in five countries are operating buses to transport stranded citizens amid deteriorating security conditions following attacks on Riyadh Airport and the cancellation of flights, particularly in Bahrain, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait. To be eligible, travelers must have canceled flight bookings; specific times have been organized for gatherings and movement to assist stranded citizens. These measures come in the context of an ongoing military escalation, as the Houthis have launched missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi airports and oil facilities, resulting in casualties and injuries. Riyadh Airport remains closed for 24 hours. The targeted attacks and acts of violence have prompted Saudi Arabia to respond militarily and to activate civil protection channels, while the Houthis continue their military escalation against Saudi facilities.
