Riyadh Airport Still Suspended Amid Houthi Attack

The ongoing escalation between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia has led to the suspension of operations at Riyadh Airport. Saudi Arabia announced an extension of the suspension of all flights for review and to ensure the safety of facilities following missile and drone attacks by the Houthis on the Kingdom's airports. The group launched retaliatory attacks targeting Riyadh Airport and Khamis Mushait, resulting in the deaths and injuries of several civilians, as well as intercepting and destroying multiple ballistic missiles. Additionally, the Houthis launched attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia. In response, the Kingdom heightened its security measures and monitored threats involving drones and cruise missiles. This comes amid a broad military escalation in Yemen, with fierce battles at the gates of Taiz and an increase in airstrikes against Houthi positions, reflecting a serious intensification of military and security tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia.
