Israeli sources have accused the Hamas government of attempting to consolidate its weapons in the Gaza Strip through proposals that allow militants to securely surrender their arms, with the aim of destroying the stockpiles. Reports indicate that Israel permitted an American company to enter Gaza to identify the locations of Hamas weapon caches in order to freeze them, with the surrender mechanism to be determined later. This move comes amid disagreements between Israel and Hamas regarding the implementation of the terms of the ceasefire agreement, as Hamas affirms its commitment not to disarm, while Israel continues targeting weapons storages and destroying their sites in Gaza. Tensions between the two sides are escalating, with military operations ongoing and Hamas insisting on its demands not to disarm in exchange for the implementation of the remaining terms of the agreement.
