Saudi Arabia prolongs Riyadh Airport closure

The General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia announced the extension of the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to complete the verification of the airport's facilities following the attack targeting Passenger Terminal 4, which resulted in the death of 12 people and injuries to 309 individuals of various nationalities. This comes after the airport and several other Saudi regions were targeted by missile and drone attacks carried out by Iran-supported Houthi militias. The coalition leadership confirmed that these attacks are considered "war crimes," and that a decisive response will follow. The relevant authorities are continuing to assess the damages and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of the facilities and to safely resume airport operations.
