Trump Supports Executing Nidal Hassan

The article discusses the United States' plan to broadcast the execution of Nidal Hassan, who was convicted of murdering 13 of his colleagues at Fort Hood in 2009, live online on December 3, 2026. This marks the first firing squad execution carried out in the United States since World War II and has sparked criticism from the United Nations and human rights organizations, which consider this decision a violation of the absolute ban on torture and public trials. The U.S. Vice President announced that he will not watch the broadcast, while the Secretary of Defense expressed his intention to conduct the live transmission. Human rights leaders oppose this move, fearing it could lead to a repeat of public execution images.
