Trump: Iran's leadership unclear
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his biggest current problem is not knowing who is running Iran, criticizing the deterioration of Iranian leadership following the departure of a group of its commanders. During a campaign rally in Nebraska, Trump asserted that Iran might target his cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, and that targeting them would be a "small price" compared to protecting the United States from the Iranian nuclear threat. Trump's remarks coincide with rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, amid worsening economic conditions in the United States ahead of the November midterm elections, as he expresses concern over the possibility of Iranian attacks on American cities.
