Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal coach face criticism after Norway match

Portugal national team coach Jorge Jesus denied having apologized to Cristiano Ronaldo for not including him in the Norway match. He confirmed that media reports about such an apology are false. He explained that the door remains open for Ronaldo to rejoin the national team during the next international break, provided he is playing with his club. He emphasized that the decision to call up any player is up to him as the coach and must be clear. He also pointed out that the crisis that arose between him and Ronaldo, which began after he was not included in the match and left the camp, relates to principles and coaching authority. He stated that there is no issue in dealing with Ronaldo's symbolic status and that he has not apologized to Ronaldo for the decision not to include him. Relations soured after Ronaldo performed warm-up exercises and was not used in the match, then decided to leave the camp. Ronaldo later confirmed via social media that he would reveal the truth at the appropriate time.
