Netanyahu vows strikes on anniversary

The article addresses the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023, operation in Gaza, where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to threaten new assassinations in the Gaza Strip. He emphasizes that Israel will persist with its military campaign against Hamas with the aim of eliminating what he described as militants and ensuring the release of hostages. It notes that since the onset of the ongoing war on October 8, 2023, Israel has carried out a genocidal campaign resulting in over 74,000 Palestinians killed and 175,000 injured, with 90% of Gaza's infrastructure destroyed. This occurs amid American military and political support and Israeli targeting of several regional countries, including Lebanon, Iran, Syria, and Yemen. The article also discusses internal Israeli affairs, where President Isaac Herzog calls for an investigation into the failures of October 7 and warns of political and social divisions within Israeli society, amidst ongoing fighting and political unrest.
