Turkish Defense: Bashiqa base to be handed to Iraq

Reports have circulated about an incident involving an attempt to disable a Fly Dubai flight headed to Tel Aviv, during which the pilot tried to bring the aircraft down from an altitude of 30,000 feet. A fight broke out among the crew, and a video emerged showing an attempt by the pilot to commit suicide and being assaulted. There has been a heightened alert over Saudi Arabia, with security investigations underway. The investigations suggest that the incident may have been an attempted terrorist attack or an attempt to hijack or assault the aircraft by someone from the crew, which led to a successful emergency landing at Tuba Airport. Both the UAE and Saudi authorities are investigating the circumstances of the event, amid reports of the pilot trying to stab and being stabbed by another crew member, as well as reports indicating one of the pilots attempted suicide.
