Iran Responds to Rubio’s Iraq Expulsion Claim

The Iranian Permanent Mission to the United Nations confirmed that its delegation left New York in accordance with an agreed-upon schedule with the United States. They dismissed reports claiming that the team was expelled by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio as "nothing of value." They indicated that the delegation departed on Monday evening due to lack of progress, and accused the State Department of spreading false information. Conversely, the United States is considering a possible response against Iran following reports of Iranian involvement in a plot to carry out an attack on a British base utilized by American forces.
