Traffic update on southern city entrance expansion

The Ministry of Equipment and Housing announced the beginning of the expansion works on the southern entrance of the Tunisian capital, at the Jebel Jelloud area, as part of the second phase of the project. This will require a partial diversion of traffic to two lanes in each direction over a length of approximately one kilometer. The work will commence on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, for a duration of one week. The ministry has called on users to adhere to traffic signals and reduce speed near the construction zones. The project aims to improve infrastructure and ease traffic flow in the area.
