OpenAI funds brain chip for tumor detection

The "OpenAI" fund and other companies have invested $45 million in the startup "Coherence Neuro," which is developing a brain implant to monitor and analyze electrical signals associated with brain cancer. The technology continuously records brain activity and analyzes changes using artificial intelligence to assist doctors in precisely tracking tumor growth or recurrence after treatment. The company plans to use the funding to initiate long-term clinical trials on brain cancer patients, particularly those with glioblastoma, with the aim of developing implants targeting other types of cancer in the future. The goal of the technology is to improve the monitoring and response to treatment through neural data analysis, with plans to validate its effectiveness in human applications following successful animal trials.
