Pellegrini criticizes referee after Barcelona match
Real Betis coach, Manuel Pellegrini, stated that the refereeing decisions during his team's match against Barcelona, which ended in a 5-2 result, had a significant impact on the course of the game—particularly the disallowing of Giovani Lo Celso's goal and the red card shown to Fekundo Fardnado. He clarified that Lo Celso's goal was disallowed due to an unintended handball and that the sending-off negatively affected his team's performance. He expressed surprise at the lack of understanding regarding the reasons behind these decisions. Pellegrini emphasized that the performance was balanced when both teams were playing with ten players, and that the red card, along with his team losing its balance, contributed to the final outcome.
