They claim to tell us but we ignore
Today's article successfully highlights the psychological challenges faced by children in the Arab region, despite apparent material stability. The report indicates that approximately 40% of Saudi youth aged 15 to 30 have experienced mental health disorders, with rising levels of anxiety and depression among students, due to academic pressure, family expectations, and long hours spent on screens. It emphasizes the necessity of providing fundamental psychological care in places where children are present, such as schools and pediatric clinics, along with training teachers and involving families as part of the treatment process. The article also calls for increased government funding for the mental health sector, which suffers from a shortage of specialists, and underscores that the solution lies in truly listening to the small voices that indirectly express their suffering.
