Aoun Praises US Airspace Lifting

Lebanese President Michel Aoun renewed his welcome for the U.S. administration's decision to lift the presidential restrictions on air traffic with Lebanon, considering that this decision reflects the world's confidence in Lebanon's measures to ensure civil aviation safety and air navigation security. The purpose of the decision is to enhance air transport between the two countries, which will contribute to revitalizing Lebanese tourism, especially among the Lebanese community in North America. It also stimulates the tourism and economic sectors, reduces shipping costs, and increases Beirut Airport's international competitiveness, thereby strengthening confidence in Lebanese institutions and encouraging the return of investors and capital. This decision is the result of intensive diplomatic efforts through meetings between Lebanon and the United States and represents an important step toward revitalizing the Lebanese economy and facilitating global communication.
